We encourage growth, innovation, and collaboration, in our products and in our people.
At devDept we place great value on individuality and the personal and professional development of our employees. Our innovative and open company culture allows everyone to use and develop their skills and talents to the full and gives you the chance to go beyond the scope of your job description. Creativity and a willingness to embrace new ideas are at the heart of our work.
Founded in 2006, with over 5000 customers in 65 countries, devDept is the leading company in the CAD controls for .NET Framework market. devDept manufactures software components that customers integrate into their own software products to expand and enhance their functionality.
devDept products are used to add CAD capabilities to Windows applications. For example, a structural design program would benefit of a 3D view of beam structures as well as of the ability to select items directly on the 3D view to simplify workflows. It may also need boolean operations to properly cut structural members, automatic 2D drawings generation and export to CAD interchange file formats for the actual beams production. devDept software components are employed in such industries as: aerospace, manufacturing, construction, mining, health care.
We don’t believe in status or strict hierarchies. Open doors, honest communication, no red tape and innovative approaches form the core of our philosophy. Each person is individual and we encourage everyone to unfold and fulfill their own potential. Even though we are all different, we all have one thing in common: We all work well together in a team so that everyone has the chance to fully use and develop their individual strengths. Through our team work and philosophy we continue to generate a unique working culture and create real value for our customers.
It is important for us that our employees like coming to work and feel comfortable working here. That’s why we have regular team building events, enjoy a drink together in town after work, offer fresh fruit and free meals in our canteen and do what we can to ensure our colleagues feel good.
Diversity is our strength – that is our motto. Our employees come from a broad spectrum of academic backgrounds. Whether mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, physicists or industrial engineers, new colleagues from all disciplines find their way to us and bring valuable knowledge and expertise to our business. As well as specialists, we are also always looking for all-rounders who look beyond the conventional boundaries to forge synergies between the different disciplines.
If you find a role that fits your background and aspirations, tell us about yourself in your application. Complement your CV with a cover letter showing what opportunities are of most interest to you, highlighting your strengths, and making your reasons for applying crystal clear. Even if your experience doesn’t quite match any of the open positions, but you trust that your expertise may be valuable to us, don’t hesitate to apply.
As we receive many CVs weekly, please allow us up to two weeks to review your application. If your application demonstrates the skill set we are looking for, we will reach out to you and schedule a phone interview.
A telephone interview helps us learn more about your talents and experience. We believe that a great match is a two-way street, so the phone interview is both your opportunity to discover more about working with us and our chance to get to know you.
Assuming the phone call goes well, we will invite you to an interview at our office. Our interview process is designed to test your technical knowledge and to find out more about your personality, as well as your experience and motivation.
If we’re on the same page by this point, we will ask you to complete a test project. The purpose here is to both dig deep into your knowledge and expose you to the real job experience, which would also make your on boarding process more effective.
Your test will be assessed by professionals with whom you may end up working on the same team. From time to time, we ask candidates to fix some issues or bugs in the test project. Communication with the team during the test project is also an important criterion for us. We follow up with what’s going on and provide every candidate with feedback on their completed test.
If we think you’d be great at devDept, we’ll make an offer and iron out any details like relocation issues.
